Bright warm LED light giving 100watt equivalent brightness, but using only 13watt power.

by John Hamilton

Standard classic bayonet fitting (B22) so a straightforward easy replacement for older incandescent 100watt bulbs. Using energy-efficient LEDs they are equivalent to 100watt(incandescent) bulbs but only consume 13watts, so an immediate 87% saving on your lighting costs. Being LED they should also last a lot longer.
I was aware that these bulbs are not dimmable, but when I replaced a hallway light which has an auto-sensor/switch which turns on/off the bulb when movement is detected during darkness — the bulb would come on fine, but rather than go off it would remain on with a very dim light. This may be an issue if using the bulb on PIR activated lights(?)
I’d give 4.5 stars if I could: but very happy with purchase – cost and functionality, so giving 5.

Its very bright and consumes only 13 watts of power. Its brightness is equivalent to 100 watts of traditional bulb.

Bright, light and effective bulbs

Having had yet another bulb fail recently I had no stock left and purchased these to use with E27 adapters. Their weight is somewhat lighter than the previously used ones. This could mean the quality is lower but doesn’t have to. It does mean the weight is better than some LED bulbs and means they are more suitable for a weaker ceiling mounted light.

Brightness was as good as previous bulbs purchased with also a slightly lower profile. Screwing into an adapter was easy and fitted perfectly in the light fitting.

I’m quite happy to recommend partly as the value is hard to beat, brightness and whiteness of the light is as good as others.
